By preventing anything from turning into waste, we’re addressing the major issues of scarce raw material shortages and CO₂ emissions. In almost every case, the recycling of residual waste into new raw materials leads to CO₂ reductions. In 2010, Van Gansewinkel Groep gave 77% of waste a second life as new raw material or turned it into green energy. And in the process of giving 56.7% of waste a second life as raw material, we also saved the equivalent of 1.2 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
